T4P is all about people. People making connections around shared values and turning ideas into positive action. People who want to build bridges with others.

Working from grassroots to government, we catalyse initiatives and broker partnerships.

Change starts locally, so we’re firmly rooted in Leeds – but with increasing regional, national and international connections.

We love imaginative thinking and action, which help us see ourselves, others and our world differently.

And we learn from and share the experience of peace-makers – global and local...

From international activist John-Paul Lederach, we learnt... That change in communities comes from ‘critical yeast’, not critical mass: people in communities who've been enabled to imagine a different future and equipped to become change-makers. That creating and maintaining peaceable communities is all about ‘web weaving’: making strategic person-to-person connections. And that we always need to be ready to embrace serendipity: being flexible enough to respond to the unexpected. (Click here to hear him speaking on 'The Moral Imagination: The Art and Soul of Building Peace'.)

And from Ben Hoffman, we learnt about the role of 'peace guerrillas’: small groups working across society, from grassroots to government, to build sustainable peace across the spectrum. Click here to read more about his methodology and work.
