Just a few more days and we’ll finally be able to get our hands on the upcoming Nexus 5X 2015. The handset is a result of a Google and LG partnership. It is slated to launch on September 29, 2015.
Following the much talked about success of the Nexus, LG and Google plan to impress the market some more with the Nexus 5X. If iPhone 6 has a successor that is the iPhone 6S, Nexus 5 also has the upcoming 5X. But before you get too excited and pre order the phone, it’s best to know more details to make a sound decision.
So far, this is what we know about the upcoming Nexus 5X 2015.
What is the Nexus 5X 2015?
Nexus 5X 2015 is an LG-built phone and is Google’s upcoming flagship offering. Unlike the larger Nexus 6, the Nexus 5X will go back to the 5-inch screen size to cater to those who were disappointed that the Nexus 5 is no longer available in the market.
The phone is poised to release along with the Android Marshmallow and that’s very soon. It will be on September 29 but you won’t get your hands on the phone until October. There are no exact dates as to when you can pre order the phone but it will probably be around early October 2015.
Like its predecessor, the Nexus 5X will be priced right. If you think Nexus 6 was too expensive then Nexus 5X will be very affordable. There are no confirmations as to how much the phone will set at this point but some rumors suggest between £193-257. It costs almost half as less as the Nexus 6 making it a good deal all in all.
Considering its relatively cheaper price, it will do you good if you don’t expect a premium design. You won’t be seeing a pone that features a glass and metal combo. Instead the Nexus 5X 2015 will sport a matte plastic back cover with raised camera lens and fingerprint sensor on the back. This could be a sign that the phone may be tailored for an Android Pay feature.
Instead of the 5-inch screen the Nexus 5 sported, the upcoming Nexus 5X will be relatively bigger at 5.2-inches giving you a larger display. It is also believed that rather than the IPS LCD, Nexus 5X will be sporting a P-OLED one.
Though the design may not be high end or premium, it is a different story if you look at what’s inside the phone. Nexus 5X is believed to feature premium internal specifications including the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor with a possible 4GB RAM.
One of Google Nexus phones weaknesses is its mediocre camera. Hopefully, Google gets it right time seeing that the upcoming Nexus 5X is said to feature a 13MP snapper in addition to features such as optical image stabilization and more.
If Google heeds another common complaint, it is very possible that the Nexus 5X 2015 will be equipped with a better and longer lasting battery. It is possible that the phone may feature a 2,300 mAh battery or higher for a longer battery life. If Google can also improve on the phone’s battery drain then the phone is sure to easily sell itself.
With its very friendly price, the Nexus 5X 2015 is making some buzz especially among those customers who want a budget-friendly phone with all the bells and whistles.
